Kelly Keegan Gets Felony Charges Dismissed and Seals Record
In an unfortunate misunderstanding, Kelly Keegan’s client was charged with Felony Second Degree Assault after a frightened pizza delivery person reported an attempted robbery to the Owatonna Police Department. Kelly’s client, who had opened his door holding a toy gun when the pizza arrived, was then aggressively confronted by the police in his home. The misunderstanding resulted in charges that would have dramatic consequences on her client’s life. In motions to the Court, Kelly asked that the prosecution’s evidence be suppressed because the search of her client’s home was improper. All charges were then dismissed against Kelly’s client. Ensuring that this incident could have no repercussions on her client’s life, Kelly then had records of the arrest and court case expunged.
