Kelly Keegan’s client was prohibited from possessing firearms due to several convictions: Felony Third Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felony First Degree Attempted Manufacture of Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession of a Pistol by an Ineligible Person. Over fifteen years later, the client had transformed his life and wanted to resume hunting. Kelly petitioned the court for restoration of her client’s right to possess firearms. In filings to the Court, Kelly painted a picture of her client today: a dedicated family man, a community volunteer, and an all-around upstanding citizen. At the hearing on the petition, the Judge commended Kelly’s client for his rehabilitation and restored his right to possess firearms.
