Jury Acquits Kelly Keegan’s Client of Criminal Sexual Conduct
After a week-long felony jury trial in Anoka County, Kelly Keegan’s client was acquitted of three counts involving criminal sexual conduct. The allegation was that a grandfather inappropriately touched his granddaughter. Kelly was able to present a step-by-step break down of the facts involved in the case through cross examination of the State’s witnesses and by presenting evidence on her client’s behalf. The client also testified in his own defense. It was through investigation by a private investigator hired by Ms. Keegan, a close examination of the facts, and preparation of her client that Kelly was able to convince the jury that her client was not guilty.
