Charges Avoided for Son Managing Mother’s Accounts

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into Kelly’s client for Felony Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult, accusing him of misappropriating his mother’s money. Kelly worked with the detective on the case to demonstrate that her client was the executor of his mother’s estate, and that the funds had not been spent, but moved into a different account. This information was then passed along to the Wright County Attorney’s Office, who declined to press charges against Kelly’s client.
