Firearm Rights Restored for Client Convicted of Burglary and Assault
As a young adult, Kate’s client and his friends decided to break into the home of former high school peers with the intent to steal money and drugs. During the break-in, Kate’s client assaulted the residents of the home with a wrench. Subsequently, he was convicted of Felony First Degree Burglary and two counts of Felony Second Degree Assault. Since then, her client has turned his life around. He got married, started a family, and maintained steady employment for 13 years, with nearly half of that time in a top supervisory role. Despite the innate difficulty of this case, the judge was persuaded by Kate's arguments that her client is an upstanding citizen and agreed to restore his rights. He is now able to hunt alongside family members, coworkers, and friends.
