Gun Rights Restored for Client with Multiple Drug Charges who Dreamed of Hunting Again with his Father
Kelly Keegan’s client was convicted of two drug possession charges in Dakota County soon after graduating high school, leading to a lifetime prohibition on firearms. The incidents motivated Kelly’s client to do something with his life so he enrolled in college, graduating with a degree in Information Technology and now works in a prominent position in both IT and cyber-security. He also married and has two children. As time passed, her client dreamed of hunting again with his dad as he had as a child, while also passing the tradition along to his kids. Kelly convinced the judge that her client had rehabilitated so that now, almost twenty years after the offenses, her client may finally realize his dreams.
