Gun Rights Restored for Client Convicted of 2nd Degree Drug Sale; Can Now Help Son Start Armed Security Company
In 1996, Kelly Keegan’s client was convicted of Felony Second Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance in Hennepin County after selling crack cocaine to an informant during an undercover operation, leading to a lifetime firearm ban. Kelly’s client now works as a personal care attendant and is devoted to his ten children and his grandchildren. As the years passed, the prohibition increasingly caused problems and her client longed for a restoration of his rights. He would like to help his eldest son with plans to start and armed security company. And as a collector who loves history, he wished to own antique firearms. Kelly was able to convince the judge that her client had reformed and matured as a father and grandfather, and that his rights should be restored. As a result, he may now collect firearms and work for his son’s armed security business.
