Kelly Keegan’s Client Granted Expungement for Domestic Assault Charge

Kelly’s client was charged in 2019 in Hennepin County with Misdemeanor Domestic Assault for allegedly throwing her car keys at her father during an argument. The charge was continued for dismissal and ultimately dismissed later the same year. However, due to the fact that the proceedings were still public, Kelly’s client was turned down for several jobs and had difficulties renting an apartment. She was also concerned that the record could prevent her from pursuing a career in a health-related field. The court granted the expungement with the result that Kelly’s client may now pursue her education and ultimate dream job in a health-related field.
